We are collecting funds for the need of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center - a clinic that provides assistance to children with oncological, other acute and chronic diseases. Up to 1,500 surgical operations are performed annually in the clinic, most of which are of a high complexity group.
With the beginning of russia's military aggression against Ukraine, a special hub for children with oncological and haematological diseases from all over Ukraine was organized on the basis of the Center. Since March 2022, the clinic has accepted about 6,000 forcibly displaced children. In particular, only in recent weeks, young patients from Sloviansk, Toretsk and Kramatorsk underwent ultra-complex high-tech operations to remove malignant tumours of the bones of the facial skull, and also kidney transplant was performed.
With the collected funds, we will purchase for the Center an ERGO 315R working element of the German BOWA ARC350 PLUS electrosurgical equipment complex, which provides welding of patient tissues during operations. The element failed due to the intensity of the surgical work.
